Maleon produced a performance specification for the maintenance agreement and reviewed the proposed agreement from the contractor as the client’s representative. Maleon supported the client contractor services and undertook a site inspection of the first maintenance visit, providing comments and feedback to contractors, offering their management and technical expertise to ensure the project met demanding specifications.
5 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf
Maleon undertook a detailed acquisition survey of MEP services within this high-profile building with a view to determining if they were fit for purpose, in good condition and what infrastructure capacities were available. Maleon produced a comprehensive report, detailing life expectancy of plant and equipment.
3 Burlington Gardens
Maleon reviewed the existing MEP services to determine the works required to allow an extension of the office accommodation on to the 8th floor (roof). Maleon worked closely with the architect who produced a preferred extension layout. Maleon undertook a thermal load calculation of the entire building as well as the proposed extension to determine if there was any spare capacity within the existing chilled water installation and if it was sufficient to service the extension.
Maleon then conducted a site survey and a review of the record drawings to determine what plant and equipment was needed to relocate, where it could be positioned and the significance/ implications of moving it. Maleon also provided various options for servicing the extended office space with pros and cons for each. All this was detailed within a comprehensive report with photos and drawings of the proposed works for the client to determine their approach.
